Challenge: This major agricultural company in Belize needed to find a way to stop unethical repackaging which was occurring in local grocery stores. They also wanted to establish a brand to sell to neighboring countries. Solution: To develop a distinctive branded product packaging to position Circle R as the optimal brand compared to generic competitors. This would establish the brand at the retail level, engaging directly with merchants, fostering stronger respect for the product. Additionally, direct engagement at national agriculture shows was crucial. The experiential marketing exhibit showcased ethical farming techniques through live crop demonstrations, interactive games, and a sampling program, creating a memorable brand experience. Result: Within two years, consumers replaced "rice" with the brand name, pressuring store owners not to repackage Circle R's products. This national shift was driven by strategic branding, packaging, digital marketing, in-store promotions, and experiential marketing.
