Challenge: The Canadian government needed a strong national brand identity for global positioning and foreign investment. However, the initial plan was only a basic branding guideline, followed by outsourcing to an external ad agency. Solution: Encouraged the full branding to be in-house. Oversaw the creative direction of brand identity, social media, flagship digital branding, experience marketing, annual reports, and onboarding sales kits. Additionally, served as one of the government’s first Creative Directors. Results: Successfully launched a cohesive national brand identity, saving the program from a large external marketing budget. Led the creative and strategic direction for 18 months, establishing a strong foundation for Canada’s global branding efforts.
